Larry was born in El Monte CA in 1945 and was raised in southern CA and Hawaii. He joined the Navy in 1963 two weeks after graduation from Bolsa Grande H. S. in Garden Grove, CA. While in the Navy he rose through the enlisted ranks to Master Chief Hospital Corpsman and received a commission. He retired after twenty-two years service in the medical community as a Lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps. He married Laura on February 14th, 1999 and they recently relocated to Beaufort, SC.
He has a degree in Health Care Administration from the George Washington University, Washington, DC and a Masters in Health Services Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC.
He has: learned to play the saxophone (badly); become a leathercraftsman; become an amature woodcarver (member of the National Wood Carvers Association).
